I found this idea in a book called "Hello Cupcake" by Richardson and Tack. I modified the technique used in the book. I found that the melted icing dipping technique didn't work well with this one. I forgot to mention this in the video. If you use starburst candies for the beaks they will start to melt after 24 hrs on the cupcake. They should be placed on the cupcake just before serving.
